On the "Fourm alte Werft" in Papenburg, 7places creates a unique touristic attraction for the historic trading- and dockyard site in Emsland. It represents the site's history from foundation to the beginning of cruise ship building in the combination of state-of-the-art technology and storytelling with elaborate detail and impressive scenography. In the historical 3-story brick building, 7places creates a learning journey for the visitor on roughly 1.000m² that fuses Papenburg's identity with the building process of wood- and steel ships and transports complex content in an experience-driven concept. Cutting-edge design and high-tech-elements such as Virtual- and Augmented Reality, Immersive Rooms, Gamification and a Papenburg-App go hand in hand and create an adventurous experience that, from end of 2021 on, will not only attract visitors to the "Forum alte Werft" but will also create a cross-linkage through the entire city. In the Europe-wide competition, 7places and DIA-Dittel Architekten prevailed against the competition due to the high degree of innovation and identification within the concept.
